NogginLabs Wins Brandon Hall Awards
12 October 2004
NogginLabs, Inc., a full-service custom e-learning software development firm, announced today that their e-learning courses, the Dale Carnegie/Performance Potential Inc. Best Practices for Sales Solutions and the Hibernia National Bank Payment Protection Course, have won, respectively, Gold and Silver Excellence in Learning Awards from brandon-hall.com. The Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Awards program showcases and recognizes the very best custom courses each year.
NogginLabs is very pleased to have received a Gold Excellence in Learning Award for the courses they developed for Dale Carnegie/Performance Potential Inc. The Best Practices for Sales Solutions courses, in conjunction with a website, was developed to cement the Best Practices for Dale Carnegie Associates. The four simulations deal with different aspects of the sales process and highlight techniques that the most successful performers routinely employ. These highly interactive courses utilize a variety of instructional designs, flash animation, audio clips, and expert stories to fully immerse the user in the learning environment.
NogginLabs is also pleased to have received a Silver Excellence in Learning Award for the course they developed for Hibernia National Bank. The Payment Protection course was designed to teach Hibernia’s personal bankers payment protection product knowledge while reinforcing the key competencies, skills, and behaviors involved in the Hibernia sales process through various activities and by simulating the actual work environment at the branches. The audience for the course is Hibernia personal bankers who are responsible for assessing customers’ needs and actively selling bank products and related services. Hibernia implemented this e-learning course to teach bankers payment protection product knowledge within the context of the sales process.
“From an e-learning perspective, both of these courses represented steps forward for NogginLabs and our clients,” said NogginLabs CEO Brian Knudson. “Our goal with each course we develop is to simulate, as exactly as possible, the learner’s on-the-job environment. In the case of Hibernia, because we have had such a long relationship with them, we are free to really push the envelope in terms of instructional design. These courses are perhaps the most comprehensive we have ever built. The four courses we designed and built for Dale Carnegie and Performance Potential Inc. were challenges because of the content. We had to internalize a great deal of information and present it in a succinct and realistic manner. Because “selling” is such a complex environment, we’re really pleased that the simulations have turned out to be so helpful for the Dale Carnegie salespeople.”
The Excellence in Learning Awards are presented by brandon-hall.com, one of the e-learning industry’s leading research and consulting firms. Now in its tenth year (formerly the Brandon Hall of Fame Awards), the awards program showcases exceptional work in the e-learning industry by providing feedback and benchmarking to entrants in an overall effort to help advance the e-learning industry.
NogginLabs, Inc. was recognized during an Awards ceremony and dinner held on Tuesday, October 12th, 2004 in San Francisco, CA, as part of the Training and Online Learning Fall Conference and Expo, held October 11-13.
