Chicago based e-learning innovator NogginLabs won the Bronze Excellence in Learning Award at the 2005 Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Awards. NogginLabs’ course for Hibernia National Bank was recognized during an Awards ceremony and reception held on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 in Long Beach, Calif., as part of the 2005 Training Fall Conference & Expo, held October 17-18. The Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Awards are presented by Brandon Hall Research, one of the leading research and consulting firms in training and development. Now in its eleventh year, the Awards program showcases exceptional work in innovative learning. This year, entries were submitted in three categories: Custom Content, Innovative Technology, and Outstanding Case Studies. In 2005 a total of 210 entries, representing 16 countries, were submitted. The entries were evaluated by independent judges with expertise in instructional design and learning technology from 47 countries around the world.
In 2004, NogginLabs continued their successful partnership with Hibernia National Bank, developing another piece in their extensive, performance-based curriculum: the Product Knowledge E-Learning Courses. These new courses resume the primary goal of teaching the Hibernia retail personal banker audience about the products offered at Hibernia in the context of the GAIN sales process, reinforcing key competencies, skills, and behaviors. In total, the new Product Knowledge courses comprise approximately 15 hours of new curriculum and are presented in short modules, each of which is an average of 10-15 minutes of seat time. The audience for the course is Hibernia personal bankers, which are responsible for assessing customers’ needs and actively selling Hibernia products and services. A potential audience size of 5000 learners in 260 Hibernia branches throughout Texas and Louisiana will complete the course.
