Welcome to the Getting into Care module of PEERSpeak! In this session, we’ll discuss what to do after you have tested positive for HIV, as well as a little more about the virus. We understand that this time can be overwhelming, and you likely have a lot of questions about what your infection means, and how to get the right care. This module will help answer your questions and guide you towards the resources you need to stay healthy.
To help you learn, we’re going to put you in the role of a social worker at an AIDS service organization. As a social worker, you’ll meet someone who has recently tested positive for HIV and needs your support to get connected into care. Through an interactive conversation, you’ll listen to the client’s issues and give them advice on how to solve them.
